“My son went to flex his mental muscles away from the rigidity of the National Curriculum, to meet and make new friends with other gifted children and adults, to be able to relax and not feel he stands out so much, and to get some practice with organising himself in the practical aspects of a residential course. It met all our expectations – he always comes back happy, excited by what he has done, relaxed, and noticeably more confident.”
“I wanted to meet other people who understood what I was saying. I wanted the opportunity to be myself. I can’t thank GIFT enough for everything.”
GIFT is an internationally respected provider of courses for the exceptionally able, with a history of more than 30 years. Our mission is to help gifted to children to find their tribe. We provide places where they can meet and learn with other youngsters who share their enthusiasm for taking on new ideas, without the curriculum constraints that even the best schools with the best teachers have to work to.
We run residentials in Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex (and other areas on demand), day masterclasses at the Tate galleries in London and at partner schools, and provide workshops in schools that want to offer something different to their G&T pupils.
GIFTers are able to choose from a wide range of projects that allow you to go deep into a subject that may be a personal passion of yours, or something entirely new to you.
We run a range of courses from November through to August each year. These are the courses currently available for booking. The summer school is almost full – should it switch to “sold out”, please email to go on the waiting list or register your interest if we were to run a second summer school the following week. You can book online or using the familiar paper system. Other information about GIFT is available via the menu links.
You can book online or download a flyer with a form which you can print off and post.
PLEASE NOTE, “YEARS” REFERS TO NATIONAL CURRICULUM YEAR GROUPS (e.g. Year 7 = 11-12 years old).
